Nice to meet you, everyone! And here's my new post on very interesting topic. Hope info here will come handy.


Today we will talk about such a useful topic as MOOC. Let's take a closer look at what it is. MOOC is a massive open online course that can be held on various platforms. To be honest, I didn't know about this type of learning until the beginning of our new discipline "Public Speech". At the first lesson, the teacher opened this way of learning for us, which can be used without leaving home! It's really convenient, isn't it? All in all our training, as a obligatory part, includes a course "Social psychology" at https://openedu.ru/. When I first visited this website, I was stunned by the huge number of courses that our country's universities offer online.

Well, now about the social psychology course itself. This course is held by HSE University. It includes 13 modules, each of which contains lectures and midterms. Now I have listened to the lectures of the first module and successfully, as I think, completed the test. You can see the result below:

As you can see my results are not so frustrating. I'd like to say that the lectures weren't tedious and boring.  I enjoyed spending time getting new information that will be useful to me in the future as a teacher.  The lecturer explains the main points of social psychology quite accurately and simply, using visual materials and illustrating everything with examples. During the listening, I made outlines that helped me pass the test later. By the way, the test consists of real situations in which you need to determine which method or type of research, the theoretical approach was used. Anyway, I liked the beginning of the course, and I look forward to further passing it.
