The outline of my persuasive speech
Hello, my readers! And the last post on this week is connected with my future persuasive speech about the environment as you can remember. So let's observe my plan!
Topic: Environment
Purpose statement: Can we save our planet? If so how can we save
it and most importantly how we can save us. The environment plays a pivotal
role in the existence and growth of all living things on earth and importantly
to humankind’s daily lives. The condition of the environment is very important
for the quality of life that humans lead.
Introduction:
1. Because
we don't think about future generations, they will never forget us.
a) The
occurrences of natural calamities are increasing day by day which is resulting
in loss of lives.
b) During
the quarantine we can see some changes in the nature because humans cannot put
their hands on it.
2. The
increase of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is proving to be more harmful than
ever.
a) It is
rather important to note that by saving the environment, we will be saving
mankind.
b) If we do
not take immediate action, we will have to face grave consequences at the hands
of nature.
3. How we
create damage and how we can see that we are doing it?
a) Now that
all of us are staying at home we can see how nature are recovering from the
damage.
Body:
1. The
abuse of the environment is a hot topic for discussion in the recent times.
Several human activities and the high growth of populations are the most
important factors causing harmful affects to the environment.
a) It is
very important to explore the various types of pollution and all possible ways
of their prevention in order to make our planet a safe place for the growth and
development of all living things.
b) Humankind
is filling the atmosphere with green house gasses like CO2 and other harmful
emissions from industry and fossil fuel use. Hydrofluorocarbons and CFC’s from
cooling found in air conditioners cause global warming.
2. The
oceans are being polluted by plastic waste which causes sea life like dolphins
to die from stomach problems.
a) Water
pollution is one of the pivotal problems nowadays.
b) The
contamination of the living environment leads to the deaths of the entire
natural ecosystems.
c) We
should reduce water wastage, save energy, use rechargeable batteries, reuse our
old things in new ways, and throw wastes properly to its place only.
3. The
usage of non-conventional sources of energy should be encouraged.
a) What can
we do to help?
b) Where to
start?
c) Why do
we need to think about it?
4. The
small steps to save our planet.
a) We need
not only think about global problems but also about small ones
b) Save
water
c) Save
energy
d)
Recycling
Conclusion:
1. “For two
hundred years we've been conquering Nature. Now we're beating it to death.”
Said Tom McMillan.
a) The
remarkable growth of technological progress has negative impact on the
ecological state of our planet.
b) The work
of factories and plants and the extraction of natural resources result in serious
environmental problems that call for radical actions for environmental
rehabilitation and protection.
2. Darryl
Cherney once said “I'm not an environmentalist. I'm an Earth warrior.”
a) We can
help in personal ways and governments should help nationwide and globally.
b) Planting
a trillion trees across the planet is one of the best and cheapest ways of
taking 25 percent of CO2 out of the atmosphere and helping tackle the crisis of
global warming.
