It's time to "speak up" #2
Hey there! On previous week my another gpoupmate Polina gave a speech on the topic "Effective Listening Strategies." And today I'm here to evaluate it. Also I'd like to notice that Polina gave her speech using ZOOM, so we all were able to see her live.
1. Introduction
- What technique(s) was used in the introduction?
To be honest, I fell in love with Polina's introduction. She was so emotional, she really knew what she was speaking about. At the beginning she used such a technique as "asking questions".
- Any link-element?
Polina showed the importance of the listening, using the comparison. Before starting the body of the speech, she gave us a plan of it.
- Was the thesis statement given?
As for me, the thesis statement is "So listening is as important as speaking". I can explain why I consider it as a thesis. Because she said why we should listen to her, why the listening is so important. It's ther main idea of it.
- How effective was the introduction?

The body of the speech is well-structured. Polina followed the plan and uncovered r all the issues. She used presentation for for illustration purposes. It was very clear and precise.

I liked the conclusion. She summarized the whole speech, giving some advice. She also used "asking questions" at the end of her speech.

I can say that she followed all the steps.
-How effective was the conclusion?
