It's time to "speak up" #3
Hey there! By the headline I think you catch that I'm going to evaluate the speech of my groupmate again. On this week two girls performed in ZOOM, so here will be the second post with my evaluation.
Let's start with Nastya and her topic is preparing your speech.
1. Introduction
- What technique(s) was used in the introduction?
The introduction was well-organised, clear and precise. Nastya used technique "Asking questions" to get attention of the audience and she could do it.
- Any link-element?
After asking some rhetorical questions, Nastya smoothly moved on to the topic of her speech, using the phrase: "Preparing a speech is one of the best ways to ensure you give an effective presentation."
- Was the thesis statement given?
Certainly. The thesis statement in Nastya's speech was obvious: "Each speech is unique and, therefore, requires individual preparation." After it, she told what she was going to talk about. As for me, it's absolutely right to her the audience the plan of your speech.
- How effective was the introduction?

I liked the body of the speech and its structure. Nastya had a plan and she followed it. She had a clear division on the topics she was talking about. Maybe I'd like to see some smoothness between parts of the body.
- How understandable was the information (was it clearly explained)?

-What technique(s) was used in the conclusion?
The conclusion is full and clear. Nastya gave some advice and motivated her audience to prepare the speech, go deeper in the topic of it. Also she used such a technique as "giving a quotation": the quote by Spanish writer Miguel de Cervantes " He who is prepared for the fight has half won."
-Were all the steps followed (summary, action, emotional appeal?)
I can say that she followed all the steps.
-How effective was the conclusion?
Very effective Some conclusion None
